Salesian Past Pupil representating Ireland at London Olympics

Congratulations and best wishes to Mark Kenneally who will be running the marathon in London to represent Ireland. Mark is a member of Clonliffe Harriers Athletics and a past pupil of Salesian College Celbridge (1994-1999).

Mark graduated from UCD in 2006 and now combines his training programme with his own Physiotherapy Clinic in Celbridge. From the high of coming eight in the European Cross County Championships in 2009 he went on to win the National Inter Clubs Cross Country title in 2010 and made his marathon debut in Vienna on April 17, 2011 finishing in an Olympic B qualifying standard time of 2:17:22. Having felt that he could have done better on the day, Mark with his coach Mark Carroll set his eyes on an Olympic A qualifying time which he did with a time of 2:13:55 in the Amsterdam marathon of October 2011.
