For up to 90 years Warrenstown left an indelible mark on the minds and hearts of those who passed through its gates.
On Sunday night 14th. October 2012 these sentiments were felt so strongly when over 500 alumni of the college returned for a reunion in Knightbrook Hotel, Trim. They returned from the four comers of Ireland and from all walks of life to be present for this gathering. The alumni attending stretched from the 1940’s to 2009. They listened to the memories and testaments of how their short time in Warrenstown moulded their lives far beyond their belief.
During Sunday night a great sense of gratitude to the staff and Salesians who worked in Warrenstown for the contribution they made to forming future leaders in their communities and in the wider community and society at large was expressed. Many spoke about the interconnectness that the college has created over the 90 years and how their own personal lives have benefited hugely from the time spent with the Salesians.
The committee wish to acknowledge and thank everyone from around Ireland for their presence and support on the night.
We need your photos and memories!
The committee are also now embarking on publishing a book of memories or articles from the 90 years history. If you have any such personal memories, articles or photos that would be of interest and that could help in compiling this memory of Warrenstown please forward them to firstname.lastname@example.org. Hopefully it will help future generations understand the contribution made by this establishment down the years. Thank you.
