I tell you John Bosco is alive!

A year of grace, of celebration and renewed commitment to live with young people and for young people – this is the Year of the Bicentenary of the Birth of Don Bosco. And today the Tenth Successor of Don Bosco, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, presents to the Salesian Family, the video of the Bicentenary: “I TELL YOU JOHN BOSCO IS ALIVE!”
Don Bosco is still alive today, wherever young people need someone to educate them and to do so with kindness. A Salesian is anyone whose heart beats in rhythm with the lives of poor young people, and who sees the young in Christ, and Christ in them.
This is the legacy of the Bicentenary. This is also the message that, on this day when we begin the Year of Mercy, the Rector Major calls to mind the vast movement of people committed to the salvation of the young.
